I really liked that the author put tips for taking your mess monster at the end of the book and it is helpful! We have learned that when it comes to kids with adhd we can’t just say “clean your room” because that can be a daunting task. We have to break down the task into much smaller ones.

This was a sweet children’s story about making a mess and the positive side of cleaning up your toys. Lucy’s mom tells her she can’t play soccer if she doesn’t find her cleats, so Lucy tackles the Mess Monster, looking for her cleats. It’s a sweet story that my son immediately knew was a children’s book (he’s still a toddler), and he immediately sat down in my lap when I opened my book mail and wanted me to read it to him. Thank you so much to BooksForward for my copy!

This book really spoke to me. I struggled hard with cleaning as a kid and I still struggle hard with cleaning today lol... Tidying and organizing is a really difficult skill and as the resource at the back of the book explains, it can be overwhelming, but starting small is the best way to conquer big messes.
